Dear Parents,
One thing that is most vital as our young people maneuver through the turbulent (and sometimes dangerous) teen years ahead is a firm faith in Jesus Christ. Nurturing that faith in the truth of the Catholic Church is central to the Edge.
This year at CTK our EDGE will be divided into two groups; there will be an EDGE group exclusively for the 8th grade and another group for the 6th and 7th grades together. The goal of the youth ministry at Christ the King is to assist in the faith formation of your sons and daughters and lead them to establish a firm knowledge of their place in the family of God. Although EDGE is a comprehensive religious education program it is most certainly an active youth group; one for the 8th graders and one for 6/7th grades.
Your son or daughter is invited to attend the Edge on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. The enrollment fee has been waived for this year.
In the Edge your son or daughter will learn:
• they are a child of God with the rights, privileges and
responsibilities that go with it, and
• that the youth activities and fellowship provided through Christ the King are fun and it IS a place they are always welcomed and wanted.
• Your child will also learn the teachings of the Catholic Church and how to talk with confidence about their faith.
